.nz?
howdy
just to make sure, i'm downloading ubuntu 13.10
for the laptop, i know the amd64 iso
d4rk-5998: Read it at mega.nz
d4rk-5998: If you have no connection, please read
d4rk-5998: the amd64 iso is not for the notebook. you need the desktop-iso.
ok
k1l_, why not?
the 64bit is the same, right?
d4rk-5998: Because the notebook CPU doesnt support the 64bit architecture.
d4rk-5998: i didnt look to details on the machine. but from what i see here amd64 will be fine
bummer
thanks anyway
i have only an external drive, i'd be really messed up if i used 64bit
So I updated my laptop and now I am getting video issues. I get a white screen on all video
It is a Intel HD4000 integrated graphics
JRandolph: It is not a hardware problem, since the system even starts.
bekks: it worked fine before the update
JRandolph: So does it work now?
bekks: I just need a solution other than reinstall
I need the 'fix'
JRandolph: Did you try to disable KMS?
bekks: How?
When I look at the kernel parameters and disable frame buffer
JRandolph: then use vga=whatever
